I rarely give a 5. But let me tell you something. Cuneens feels at home. The staff treats you well, and they are amazing people. It is not just the staff. If you are ever looking for a quick drink, this is the place. Their pool table is great, so are the rest of the games that they have available. This place should live longer than I am in this country, and it already living that legacy. I am only a mere passerby, yet I feel an amazing connection to this place. And I hope you do to.

I only wish they were on Circle Ave in Forest Park so I could hang out here every night!

I went there for a quick drink after work by myself last night (04/08/22). Great whiskey and ginger ale, and not expensive either (4 total for a shot of whiskey side of ginger ale). Getting there is kind of an adventure. If you rely on the CTA like I do, you take the red line until the Loyola stop, then you have to walk about a mile or a little less to get to the bar, which isn’t fun if it’s cold like it was last night (mid-30s). The bartender was attentive and was on top of everything, which was especially impressive because he was by himself — there was no bar back or second bartender. The decorations were nice and added to the atmosphere of the establishment. The place was a little cramped, but that’s not the bar’s fault and lack of space doesn’t matter in the end. It’s a city after all. I also enjoyed the fact that it wasn’t loud. As a 26 year old man, I’m rapidly starting to lose my tolerance for loud social spaces, especially bars! I don’t mind music, but many bars play them at painfully loud levels. The bars that actually are quiet are usually very upscale and expensive, plus they don’t serve the kind of drinks I like. Cunneen’s was unique, at least for the far north side. It’s now my favorite bar in Rogers Park. I will definitely be coming here again.

A great bar for celebrations and conversations. I’m happy sitting at a table in the window or at the bar. We like stopping in after going to a show. A great neighborhood spot with a lived-in and rich history. Recommended.

A local bar perfect for a lonely night or a date with a close lover. Great chill atmosphere and there's even a pool table for a bit of foreplay, my confidants. Plus, the bathrooms are in a great shape. Love passionately and safely dear comrades.

What seems like a staple neighborhood bar. Bartender was very attentive. Live music gets and extra star always in my book. Had a nice blues duo which is always appreciated.

Best neighborhood bar in the neighborhood. And I don't mean a "hole in the wall" bar. This place is laid back and friendly. It's tree perfect place to bring a good friend and talk the night away over a few pints. The only caveat is it's cash only.
